About the Job:
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Operations division. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical equipment on our water and wastewater contracting sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out on-site mechanical maintenance works associated with various mechanical systems on wastewater and water treatment plants.
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance programs including greasing, lubrication, oil inspection, and oil changes for gearboxes, pumps, and blowers.
* Check belt tension and alignment.
* Inspect and maintain pumps, pipework, and valves.
* Work with different types of piping applications, including Cast Iron, PVC, ABS, stainless steel, and galvanized mild steel.
* Investigate mechanical faults and resolve issues by identifying required parts and replacing them successfully.
* Perform minor fabrication, including welding and on-site bracketing.
* Install new and replacement equipment on site.
* Complete daily reports and ensure company HSQE policies are maintained for all works.
Key Competencies and Skills:
* Qualified Mechanical Fitter, Plant Fitter, or Mechanic with experience in site mechanical maintenance works.
* Electrical awareness is an advantage.
* Good communication skills.
Requirements:
* Qualified Mechanical Fitter, Plant Fitter, or Mechanic.
* Full EU/Irish driving license.
