We are currently recruiting for a part time Junior IT Engineer to join our IT team. This is a part time role, 3 days per week consisting of mainly weekend shifts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
1. Server infrastructure management, performance monitoring, Operating System upgrades and troubleshooting.
2. Provide direct guest support to across all areas of the resort.
3. Providing Systems Administration, including maintaining AD accounts, user configuration, trouble-shooting access problems and completion of on-site documentation.
4. You would have a professional attitude and sincere approach with interaction to guests.
5. Ensuring critical systems are available (24) hours per day.
6. Management and patching of Microsoft Hyper-V Servers.
7. Effective support for systems, including IOT technology, applications, servers, networks.
8. Effective support for all Hotel technology, including proprietary systems and hardware.
9. Backup and disaster recovery monitoring and maintenance.
10. Support and security of Hotel network, Active Directory maintenance, Server Infrastructure maintenance, network infrastructure maintenance wired & wireless, network protection and failover tools implementation.
11. Assist with troubleshooting issues arising from daily monitoring and operations checks. These include (but are not limited to) Data Backup monitoring, Anti-Virus, e-mail, SAN and Server Hardware monitoring. Assist with development and implementation of IT policies, SOPs and guidelines.
12. Contribute to and take responsibility for aspects of IT department systems and infrastructure projects.
To be considered for the role, you must possess:
1. At least 1-2 years' experience working with an MSP in the SMB or corporate markets.
2. Good knowledge of Networking (VLAN's, Routing), Firewalls (Sonicwall/Cisco knowledge an advantage).
3. Microsoft 365 Administration, experience of SharePoint, Office 365, Azure EMS, Microsoft Teams.
4. Relevant Certifications an advantage.
5. Windows server installations and migrations, Hyper-V standalone and cluster deployments.
6. Strong communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences.
7. Keen interest in IOT.
8. Experience in Microsoft Sharepoint 365 is an advantage.
