Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a compassionate and motivatedSocial Care Workerto join their team. In this role, you will work side by side with members to support their participation in the daily operations of the Clubhouse, known as the “work-ordered day.” You will contribute to an environment that values acceptance, community, and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with members to plan and carry out meaningful activities aligned with the work-ordered day structure.
* Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging members to participate according to their readiness and interests.
* Provide one-to-one and group support to enhance members’ skills, confidence, and independence.
* Assist in developing and implementing programs to support members in achieving personal, social, and vocational goals.
* Promote recovery-focused practices, celebrating the unique talents and contributions of each member.
* Support administrative and operational tasks alongside members to maintain the smooth running of the Clubhouse.
* Advocate for members within the community, helping to build bridges to employment, education, and social opportunities.
Requirements:
* A degree in Social Care, Social Work, or a related field.
* Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges, preferably in a community-based or recovery-oriented setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
* A commitment to person-centered and strengths-based approaches.
* Flexibility and enthusiasm to work collaboratively in a dynamic and member-driven environment.
