About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position in the Heart of House department, reporting to the Accommodation Manager/Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will ensure that all guest bedrooms, suites, and public areas are serviced and cleaned to a five-star standard, with strict compliance to hotel policies and processes.
Liaising closely with Front Office, Reservations, and Maintenance teams, the Assistant Accommodation Manager will be responsible for:
* Supporting the Accommodation Manager in interviewing, selecting, training, and supervising Accommodation staff.
* Maintaining consistency of five-star experience through monitoring standard operating procedures and adhering to these standards.
* Ensuring adequate staffing levels, scheduling, and directing staff in their work assignments.
* Liaising with Front Office regarding room moves, VIP guests, special needs, and acting on any information given.
* Implementing systems to improve workflow efficiency.
* Addressing guest/owner concerns in a professional and timely manner, notifying Management of same.
Requirements
* Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Knowledge and experience of Forbes five-star hospitality an advantage.
* Excellent knowledge on how to inspect properties.
* A team player with good organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours and remain calm under pressure.
* Additional languages an advantage.
