What is the Role:
The Technology Cloud Platforms team are responsible for building and maintaining our Public and Hybrid cloud platforms to support AIB's Technology strategy.
The Network Cloud Engineer is a key role on that team, accountable for the successful and timely delivery of AIB's Cloud Platforms for AIB specialising in networking solutions.
We're looking for an experienced Network Cloud Engineer to help build our hybrid cloud future, and who can: Key accountabilities; Work with key stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain cloud network solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
Design and manage core Landing Zone network solutions to provide secure, advanced threat protection and control.
Develop, deploy, and automate AIB's Cloud Platform network services to enable AIB teams to ship features faster and safely.
Develop, deploy and manage cloud network solutions to protect Cloud infrastructure and applications from cyber threat.
Develop and enforce a Cloud framework to optimize network performance and security of AIB's public cloud platform.
Work with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of solutions with other cloud services.
Design and build the Container Cloud performance framework which will support end to end observability of services and enable targeted troubleshooting of issues for the cloud network domain.
Lead and drive out automation across multi-cloud platforms to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
What you Will Bring ; +10 years of professional experience.
* 8 years of experience as Senior Network Cloud Engineer Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure native services, including Azure Front Door, Firewall.
Container platforms, OpenShift and ISTIO an advantage.
In dept knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages such as Terraform, Jira, Confluence.
Certification in Azure technologies, additional certifications in AWS would be a plus.
Project experience migrating and deploying cloud based solutions (Azure or AWS) with an understanding of Agile, SCRUM and Continuous Delivery.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
