Overview of the Role
The BIM Technician will be part of a team working on multiple Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants projects across green and brownfield sites. The role involves producing detailed Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Project Information Models (PIMs), Asset Information Models (AIMs), and drawings/models for client approval, construction, and verified construction records to a high standard in line with client requirements, Veolia's standard practices, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop P&IDs pertinent to Water & Waste-water Treatment Plants using AutoCAD software under guidance from Design Engineers;
* Create 3D models, General Arrangement Drawings for Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants using Revit software under guidance from Design Engineers;
* Ensure accurate and diligent work within your department;
* Manage time effectively and execute output within defined timelines;
* Communicate professionally with design engineers;
* Apply good engineering principles and problem-solving skills;
* Understand and ensure compliance with client specifications, user requirement specifications, health and safety requirements, company quality requirements, company policy, legislation, design standards, and good engineering practice;
* Support and assist managers and colleagues;
Required Skills:
* Proficient in Revit and have advanced knowledge;
* Proficient in Navisworks and have advanced knowledge;
* Proficient in AutoCAD and have advanced knowledge;
* Proficient in BIM360, including project setup and ongoing maintenance;
* Familiar with Point Clouds and RecapPro (or similar software);
* Able to follow standard practices and contribute to their development;
* Able to read and follow schematic drawings;
* Proficient in developing 3D models;
* Familiar with BIM interoperability toolkit for adding Uniclass and COBie information to model elements;
* Proficient in developing general arrangement drawings;
* Proficient in Excel and Word;
Additional Requirements:
* 3+ years' experience in a similar role;
* Knowledge of the water and wastewater treatment industry is preferable;
