We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading Tier 1 Contractor on an upcoming project in Limerick.
Key Responsibilities as Construction Site Manager
* Drive towards an embedded Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) culture, fostering a continually progressive culture that prioritizes our number one core value: Safety.
* Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Support all aspects of Project Team functions, including Planning, Execution, Risk Management, Commercial Success, Financials, Processes, Health, Safety, Quality, Security, Stakeholder Management, Project Administration, Design Management, and Project Close Out.
* Support the Project Execution Plan, specifically referring to the HSE and Quality plan.
* Prepare contract reports and provide updates to monthly cost meetings with the Quantity Surveyor.
* Plan, organize, and direct activities related to the construction of structures, facilities, and systems.
* Develop project plans and schedules, and execute plans to achieve agreed outcomes.
* Coordinate project activities according to the company's Quality System, Standard Quality Procedures, and Engineering Specifications.
* Meet agreed objectives in areas of timely delivery, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
* Achieve a 'right first time' philosophy throughout the project life cycle.
* Attend regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, keeping them informed of progress.
* Manage quality control and safety matters on-site, ensuring regulations are adhered to.
* Handle technical queries when necessary, interfacing with clients, consultants, and architects regarding Requests for Information (RFIs).
Qualifications/Experience:
* Degree in an Engineering discipline (Civil, Structural, or Construction Management).
* Experience ideally within a main/specialist contractor.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.
* Computer literate, familiar with MS Office, Project, or similar scheduling packages.
* Good understanding of safety management and quality management.
* Ability to lead with confidence, mentor, and motivate staff under their supervision.
