Service Desk Administrator – Leading Technology Company
Daily rate contract immediate start
Morgan McKinley is proud to be partnering with a leading technology company seeking a Service Desk Administrator to join their dynamic Systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced IT environment, providing essential support to ensure the smooth operation of critical systems. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in managing IT service requests, monitoring ticketing systems, and ensuring SLAs are met.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Provide first-line IT support as part of the Service Desk team.
2. Monitor the helpdesk ticketing system, prioritising and categorising tickets effectively.
3. Resolve issues where possible or escalate complex queries appropriately.
4. Carry out daily system maintenance tasks and health checks.
5. Support the administration and maintenance of core IT systems (CBO & OBO).
6. Monitor system alerts and escalate issues as needed.
7. Assist with updating and maintaining IT documentation, including SOPs and network diagrams.
8. Escalate tickets approaching SLA thresholds and coordinate with third-party suppliers.
9. Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to manage high-priority incidents.
10. Participate in an on-call rota and provide occasional out-of-hours support when required.
Job Requirements
1. 2+ years of experience in a help desk or IT operations role.
2. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
3. Experience working with IT service management tools (SolarWinds, ServiceNow preferred).
4. Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center, Power BI, and Azure.
5. Good knowledge of networking and personal computer hardware.
6. Understanding of ITIL framework and IT service management best practices.
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
8. Experience in ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 compliance is a plus.
9. Prior experience in the transportation or electronic tolling industry is advantageous.
