Site Operations Manager - County Cavan
This role requires a strong technical background in food canning and cooking processes, ideally with a technical qualification and relevant experience. Operational management skills and capabilities are also essential.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead plant operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of productivity targets in compliance with customer, legislative, and insurance requirements.
* Liaise with Group Sales and Planning to develop a robust production planning and storage model.
* Manage customer relationships for service, delivery, and quality, in conjunction with the sales team.
* Manage New Product Development initiatives and support their implementation.
* Utilize site resources to manage quality, liaising with Group Technical as required.
* Monitor and measure daily production KPIs to achieve lowest cost and margin delivery.
* Prepare and manage annual budget requirements to measure productivity and goal achievement.
* Lead and manage site production lines to achieve safety, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.
* Implement preventative maintenance and repairs programs to minimize productivity downtime.
* Achieve plant production yields and quality goals.
* Determine staffing and training requirements, developing and maintaining headcount plans.
* Ensure all customer requirements are processed correctly, cost-effectively, and delivered on time.
* Communicate with Supervisors/Depts. and coordinate inputs to ensure production output and on-time delivery targets are achieved.
* Evaluate and address direct reports' performance through regular monitoring, reviewing, and addressing underperformance.
* Enforce the Company's safety, quality, and environmental policies within the plant.
* Promote awareness and compliance of H&S best practices and legal requirements.
* Develop a safety-first culture by holding reports accountable for proper execution of their safety responsibilities.
* Provide reporting requirements including Labour efficiency and standards, Recruitment/retention, Absenteeism management, up-time and downtime, and agreed KPIs.
* Promote positive employee relations through effective conflict management and issue resolution.
* Develop and manage training plans for employees with the HRBP.
* Drive Continuous Improvement and total employee involvement in critical success areas using Lean Manufacturing Tools and Techniques.
