Job Title: Principal Electrical EngineerLocation: Dublin, IrelandSalary: DOE (Depending on Experience)REF Code: DES-998SUMMARY:Our client is an expanding international M&E consultancy with a proven track record in low-energy design, focused on delivering exceptional design solutions to clients. They are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their growing Dublin office. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, including data centres, industrial, commercial, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical facilities.DUTIES:Produce feasibility studies, outline designs, detailed designs, and construction support.Develop design drawings, electrical plant selection, and specifications.Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the team.Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.Deliver high-quality technical outputs, contribute to bids, and interface with clients and design collaborators.Ensure project delivery within agreed budgets and schedules.Liaise with power utility companies and manage power supply upgrades.Represent the company during client and project location visits, including meetings and surveys.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Principal Engineer performing the listed duties.Chartered status or progress towards chartership is an advantage.Must hold a valid Irish driving license.Fluency in English and eligibility to work in Ireland.Proficiency in software such as Dialux, Amtech (Trimble), Etap, Eracs, and CDEGS, with the ability to train others.Detailed electrical design experience (LV, MV, HV) in data centre/building services environments, including: SLD (topology)Strong understanding of Health and Safety issues and legislation.Competence with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.Managerial and presentation skills.Capability to support project delivery in line with the Project Delivery Process, covering project management, financial management, QA/QC, and technical reviews.Specific Business Understanding:Experience in consulting or construction preferred.Strong understanding of international operations in a global consultancy environment.Commitment to ethical practices as outlined in the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines.To Discuss this Role:Contact Jessica at 094 931 6003 or jessica@dillones.ie for a confidential discussion.Seniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Electrical EngineeringIndustries: Construction and Engineering Services
