Accountant Co. Louth €60,000 - €70,000 Talentedge are happy to be working with a client in Co. Louth to find them a Qualified Accountant to join their growing team. Role Requirements and Responsibilities: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls, driving continuous improvements in reporting and financial processes. Assist in monitoring financial controls across the organization. Opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the finance team as the company expands. Prepare, review, and present monthly management accounts, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements/forecasts, and key financial metrics. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes. Manage revenue-related activities, including revenue recognition with appropriate supporting documentation. Provide weekly reports on working capital, covering cash flow, accrued revenue, and outstanding debtors. Oversee payroll, pensions, and associated responsibilities. Ensure tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including PAYE, VAT, corporate tax, and annual filings. Manage banking and treasury functions. Assist in preparing year-end schedules and supporting external audits. Work closely with the wider management team to provide financial insights and support. Contribute to ad-hoc finance and accounting projects as needed. Maintain and oversee the nominal ledger, including transaction audits, journal entries, and expense classifications. Conduct stock audits and maintain accurate stock reporting. Support the preparation of business plans for capital investments, grant applications, and funding proposals. Undertake other duties as required by management. Candidate Requirements: Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (with most exams completed), with at least two years of experience in an accounts preparation environment. Strong technical accounting expertise, including knowledge of IFRS and relevant accounting regulations. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data, challenge assumptions, and work effectively with financial systems. High level of attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong proficiency in Excel. Good IT skills. Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software is advantageous but not essential.
