We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Weight, Price, and Label Operator to join our meat packing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of weighing, pricing and labelling equipment to ensure accurate packaging and labelling of meat products in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Equipment Setup and Operation:Set up and calibrate labelling machines according to product specifications and production schedules.Operate equipment to accurately weigh, price, and label meat products, ensuring compliance with packaging parameters.Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal operation and product quality.Quality Assurance:Verify the accuracy of weights, pricing information, and label placement on all packaged products.Conduct regular checks to ensure seal integrity, proper labelling, and overall package presentation.Identify and correct any packaging errors or inconsistencies promptly.Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and minor repairs, to prevent downtime.Troubleshoot mechanical issues and collaborate with the maintenance team for complex repairs.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any persistent issues to management.Compliance and Safety:Adhere to all company policies, including Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold hygiene and safety standards.Documentation and Reporting:Accurately complete production and quality control paperwork as required.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding equipment status, production issues, and quality concerns.Benefits:Competitive ratesCanteenOn-site parkingReferral programme
