Project Manager for LIFE SNaP Ireland
Job Description
The Project Manager will manage and coordinate the EU LIFE project 'LIFE Strategic Nature Project for Ireland'. They will be responsible for implementing project actions, coordinating partner deliveries, and delivering expected results. The Project Manager will lead the Project Team and implement Pillar Three – the establishment of the Complementary Funding Unit.
Key responsibilities include establishing management systems, health and safety guidelines, green management, financial recording, and reporting. The Project Manager will report to the Project Steering Group and ensure alignment on project deliverables and milestones. They will also coordinate with Associated Beneficiaries Coillte Nature and DAFM, foster relationships with stakeholders, and represent the project nationally and internationally.
Location: Dublin or agreed office. Blended working pattern available. Key duties and responsibilities include full delivery of the LIFE SNaP Ireland project, ensuring timely and budget-friendly implementation, and leading the multi-disciplinary Project Team. Additional tasks include liaison with the Project Steering Group, procurement and management of contracts, and stakeholder engagement.}
Requirements:
Essential qualifications include a Level 8 degree in a relevant subject, such as natural sciences or agricultural science. Relevant experience includes project and financial management, preferably through a project management qualification. Desirable skills include an understanding of Irish and EU policy, GIS experience, data management knowledge, and training in Project Management. Candidates must be suitable on grounds of character and agree to undertake the duties attached to the post.
