EAP Counsellor
We are seeking an experienced EAP Counsellor to join our team in Cork/Hybrid Cork Clinic – 2 days per week - Home Based – 3 days per week.
Salary: Up to €42,000 per annum
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled EAP Counsellor to provide high-quality services to PAM Wellbeing clients. You will work from the clinic and from home on the EAP helpline, answering inbound calls and live chats to support employees and managers.
* Provide confidential support to callers
* Conduct telephone clinical assessments and referrals for ongoing psychological and counselling support
* Work with high-risk calls and manage them according to PAM Wellbeing's risk policy
* Deliver in-the-moment support and arrange follow-up calls as necessary
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Answer inbound calls and live chats on the EAP helpline
* Provide support, psychoeducation, and signposting to external agencies
* Manage a caseload of clients, providing short-term solution-focused counselling
* Conduct in-person, video, or telephone sessions
* Assist EAP Team with administrative duties, including referral work
Requirements
* EAP Helpline experience desirable but not essential
* Minimum of 450+ clinical hours
* Strong clinical background with excellent assessment skills
* Able to make sound clinical decisions while holding boundaries
* I.T. literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
* Excellent time management, clinical, communication, and organisation skills
