About the Role
As a Senior Safety Consultant at Holland Safety, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our clients in managing their health and safety needs. Your role will involve conducting thorough site assessments, developing safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards. You will work closely with clients to identify potential risks and implement effective solutions to mitigate those risks, while fostering long-term relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety laws, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to develop tailored safety strategies that enhance workplace safety and drive client success.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve Health & Safety Management Systems, including safety documentation, method statements, and emergency response procedures.
* Conduct comprehensive safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections across diverse sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
* Prepare and present detailed safety reports, including recommendations, gap analysis, and action plans for ongoing client improvement.
* Provide on-site safety management, overseeing project-specific requirements and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Develop and manage ISO-related documentation to ensure compliance with both internal and external standards.
* Advise clients on regulatory compliance, best practices, and emerging trends, fostering proactive safety strategies.
* Provide training and mentoring to client teams, ensuring the development of a culture of safety at all levels of the organisation.
* Review and provide guidance on work completed by junior consultants, acting as a mentor to ensure high-quality deliverables and fostering professional growth within the team.
* Stay informed on current safety regulations, industry standards, and innovations, helping clients stay ahead of regulatory changes.
Requirements
* Level 8 Qualification in Health & Safety or a relevant equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety, with at least 3 years in a senior or management-level role.
* Experience in Plant and Machinery industries or similar sectors with comparable safety standards.
* Strong understanding of local health and safety regulations.
* Other Health & Safety certifications.
* Train the Trainer qualification desirable.
* Full, clean driver’s license (for site visits and client engagements).

* Strong ability to problem-solve and manage escalations to resolve client challenges efficiently.
* Leadership experience with a passion for team development and mentorship.
* Flexible and self-driven, able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
