Campus Residences offers accommodation during the summer months to educational groups and leisure guests that visit Dublin City. Last year Campus Residences DAC welcomed over 75,000 visitors to the campus. The company also operates a conference and events service to all DCU academics and external companies. Campus Residences DAC operates over 3 campuses, DCU Glasnevin, DCU St Patrick's and DCU All Hallows.
The Role:
Campus Residences DAC are seeking to employ a Reservations Supervisor with excellent communication & customer service skills to work within the Sales team in the accommodation and conference office. The role is primarily office-based working with the team members and coordinating multiple tasks.
Location: Campus Residences, Glasnevin, Dublin 9
Reports to: The Business Development Manager
Duties of the Role:
1. Work closely with the Business Development Manager daily to manage and maintain our transient business on our own website and external bookings partners.
2. Maintain and manage all current online platforms and develop where necessary.
3. Manage 16 visitor rooms all year round in Glasnevin and maximize sales opportunities.
4. Yield accommodation rates year-round to manage 1400 rooms that are available online.
5. Assist the Business Development Manager (external) to manage & administer PMS, third-party websites, and channel manager ensuring all reservations are introduced correctly.
6. Assist the Business Development Manager in maintaining accurate records on pick-up, cancellations, no-shows, and sources of reservations.
7. Ensure all reservations are cross-checked with correspondence.
8. Take ownership of booking promotional codes through our booking engine.
9. Be familiar with various internet hotel booking sites in operation.
10. Oversee day-to-day activities in all areas of reservations ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently.
11. Ensure all bookings, reservation documentation, filing, and group contracts are completed.
12. Manage all rates on the various booking channels, yielding rates effectively.
13. Be knowledgeable of upcoming events and manage rates accordingly.
14. Act as a salesperson for the company by upselling and recommending the DCU facilities and developing a good rapport with clients.
15. Communicate and liaise with all relevant company departments in a timely and effective manner.
16. Handle all guest concerns relevant to the Reservations Office to the satisfaction of all parties.
17. Be available to assist other departments at the request of your manager.
18. Available to work flexible hours including weekends.
Skills Required:
1. Fluent in English both written & verbal.
2. Demonstrate a competent ability to yield rates with a proven track record.
3. A good telephone manner with a high standard of personal presentation.
4. Excellent attention to detail and a capability to listen and learn.
5. Professional, reliable, and a good team player.
6. Self-motivated with a desire to succeed in a challenging environment.
7. Working knowledge of computers is essential.
8. Ensure all guests' needs are communicated to the Front Office Team.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Professional, well-presented, and reliable.

Contract length: 11 months
Pay: €35,000.00 per year
