Responsibilities and Duties:
* Accountable for all daily operations of the food service operation.
* Train and develop team members - proactively seek out learning opportunities: books, mentorship, courses, experiences, and self-reflection.
* Demonstrate leadership and promote teamwork.
* Create an environment where team members are empowered and delighted, who in turn, delight our guests with genuine hospitality.
* Effectively address employee relations issues.
* Ensure inventory levels are properly maintained in order to increase sales volume and control inventory.
* Manage the cleaning and maintenance of food service equipment.
* Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
* Be directly responsible for all fund reconciliation and inventory audits.
* Prepare or supervise preparation of all required paperwork.
* Maintain safety and security of the restaurant and document any accidents or incidents that occur, when faced with hostility extend hospitality, nonetheless.
* Ensure that all personnel know and follow all company policies and procedures.
General Manager (GM) Requirements and Qualifications:
* 3 years of food service experience preferred.
* Ability to effectively lead in a fast-paced work environment.
* Able to move forward with incomplete information, does not need to wait “till everything is ready”.
* Take accountabilities, especially when things get tough. Always ask “what’s mine to own”. Admit mistakes and readily take actions to improve.
* Must be able to work a flexible shift, including nights, weekends and holidays.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
* Ability to bend down, stoop low, and stand for at least 8 hours.
* Ability to properly lift, pull, and/or push up to 30 lbs.
