Job Title:
This position involves the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of clean utilities. This includes WFI, clean steam, bulk gases, bulk chemicals, process water generation, boilers, chillers, chemical dosing systems, cooling towers, air compressors, LPHW skids, wastewater treatment, biowaste inactivation skids, and other mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Observing and interpreting readings on gauges, meters, and charts to ensure equipment is operating properly
* Switching from automatic to manual controls and isolating equipment mechanically and electrically for safe inspection and repair work
* Maintaining daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities
* Monitoring and inspecting equipment to detect leaks or malfunctions and ensure efficient and safe operation
* Cleaning and lubricating equipment and auxiliary equipment
* Performing repairs, such as overhauls, valve replacements, gasket replacements, and fabrication of new parts
* Operating facilities equipment and auxiliary equipment to supply and maintain steam or heat for buildings and industrial processes
* Activating valves to control boiler water levels, combustion air, and fuel flow
* Testing boiler water quality and taking corrective action
* Adjusting controls and/or valves to regulate system operations
* Monitoring boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels
Requirements:
* Qualification to National Craft Standard with a minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role
* Substitution of additional relevant experience for educational requirement
