Ravenport Resort, Curracloe are looking for a Sous Chef Our Head Chef has a wealth of experience and knowledge, he is looking to add to the team for a new outlet opening in late April at the Ravenport Resort Role involves assisting and directing, preparing and presenting our menu to the established standards.
2+ year experience in a similar role of a busy kitchen environment is essential with a drive and enthusiasm to learn.
Both food hygiene and HACCP knowledge are essential, further training will be provided.
Key responsibilities of this role are: Assist our head chef with the overall running of the kitchens.
Food preparation and organisation.
Ability to prepare food for breakfast, lunch, dinner (restaurant and bar) and functions.
Staff Training & Development.
Monitor HACCP procedures and hygiene standards.
Maintain a high quality of our menu and its presentation.
Be efficient and have a proven ability to work under pressure.
Requirements: Must have previous experience as a Sous Chef - 2+ years' experience as a Sous Chef within the hotel industry or busy food business is essential.
Must be HACCP trained.
Previous experience in the financial aspect of kitchen management is desirable but is not essential.
Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
Must be able to train and develop junior team members.
Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the kitchen.
Must have an excellent knowledge of food.
Must have strong people management skills Excellent communications skills.

Must be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
Must be available for early starts and late finishes.
