I am hiring for an IT & Infrastructure Support Analyst
The IT & Infrastructure Support Analyst will primarily focus on global support including the provisioning of Starters/Leavers, provide on-site and remote support to users in Dublin and remote support to global users to maintain existing infrastructure and help implement new applications and technologies as required.
In addition to the IT Service Desk, the role also supports the Datacentre Manager in maintaining the availability, performance, integrity and security of core infrastructure in the Dublin Datacentres as well as other Maples locations in Europe. The successful candidate should have an interest in server and compute technologies and have a basic understanding of networking technologies.
Key Responsibilities
This role will be based in the firm's Dublin office (hybrid working available after clearing probation) with visits to our Dublin Datacentres as required.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Performing desk-side and remote support as part of a larger international IT Support team
2. Taking responsibility for the global support queue in Service Now
3. Responsibility of the starters and leavers process within the European time zone while supporting the larger international IT team and maintaining the local stock record
4. Ensure tickets are logged in Service Now, customers kept updated and issues resolved within agreed service levels.
5. Produce and maintain knowledge articles related to IT systems, processes, ticket resolutions and assist training IT Starters
6. Provide support for standard desktop applications – MS Office 2016, Outlook, Citrix, and Windows 10
7. Management of mobile devices/virtualized desktop environments (Citrix)
8. Support of VoIP, video conference systems and telephony systems (Zoom)
9. Deliver various IT projects in agreement with the IT Manager
10. Assisting the Data centre Manager as required
11. Keeping the Data centre cabinets clean and tidy, including neat installation of cabling
12. Provide hands-on cover when the Data centre Manager is unavailable.
13. Administration and support of the Core Platform environment
14. Training will be ongoing based on individual and firm’s needs and changes to any relevant technology, including full training on the data centre aspect of the role.
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
1. Either a relevant IT Degree or two to four years technical experience, ideally in a professional services environment or an MSP
2. Strong communication skills and building rapport with clients, other support teams and external service providers.
3. Good team player with excellent communication skills
4. Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.
5. Ability to develop and manage relationships with staff and clients.
6. Excellent problem management and troubleshooting skills.
7. Must have a basic understanding of server and networking technologies.
