We have an exciting opportunity to join the Retail Finance Team and be part of a dynamic & fast paced team which closely partners with multiple internal departments as well as our Retail Partners.
This role is suited to an individual who is a qualified accountant, enjoys a fast-paced environment, is comfortable in building and managing relationships and has in interest in commercial finance.
The role and responsibilities include the following: Managing Musgraves financial risk opposite our Retail Partners whilst also advising, coaching, and mentoring them on all financial related aspects of their business.
Preparation and evaluation of business cases with an ability to clearly communicate the outputs both verbally and in writing to senior management.
Working on divestments and acquisitions, demonstrating an ability to project manage from commencement to completion.
Working occasionally with the Business Development Team in the assessment of potential new business attendance at the Regional Business Development Forum as required.
Preparing, presenting, and supporting proposals to the Musgrave Credit Committee.
This is aimed at protecting Musgrave sales whilst working with the retailer, the financing banks and other key stakeholders towards generating a fair solution for all parties.
Supporting the Credit Manager and inhouse legal counsel to ensure adherence to the governance of financial risk, including ensuring that appropriate legal documentation is put in place where required.
Management of client relationships.
The successful candidate will possess the following: Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience.
A corporate finance background would also be an advantage.
Ability to promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude.
The ideal candidate will be highly numeric & analytical, with a strong systems orientation including Microsoft Excel skills.
Good communication & inter-personal skills with a proven ability to influence at a senior level.
Be interested in working in a fast paced, client facing, commercial role.
Previous experience working within the FMCG/Retail industry will be of distinct advantage.
Full driving license.

The location for this role is flexible across Cork.Musgrave operate a Work Smart hybrid working model where you can alternate your time between connecting and collaborating in the business and working remotely.
Occasional business travel to other locations will also be required.
