Maintenance Electrician
With over 50 years of experience in supplying a global market, our client is one of Ireland's largest processors in their industry. We are seeking an experienced individual to join their maintenance team.
The role of Maintenance Electrician is crucial to the business's success.
The Maintenance Electrician is part of the Maintenance team and plays a vital role in production efficiency, safety, and plant improvements. They have knowledge of plant, equipment, and instruments used.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preventative Maintenance: Develops PM schedules for plant and equipment with the Maintenance Manager; develops spare parts lists for plant and equipment with the Maintenance Manager; carries out PM work according to the PM schedule; highlights recurring issues to the Maintenance Manager.
* Breakdown Maintenance: Responds to breakdowns and seeks to repair P/E as soon as possible within safety guidelines to optimize production efficiency; gives feedback on breakdowns to the Maintenance Manager to assist in developing PM schedules and provide feedback to production personnel as necessary.
* Projects: As part of the Maintenance team, provides input into new P/E purchases as requested; assists in commissioning new P/E as required; learns new equipment and assists in developing PM schedules for new equipment as required; works with contractors and external service technicians as required.
* Health and Safety: Carries out all work with regard to personal safety and that of all employees; reports any unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Manager in a timely fashion; seeks ways to improve P/E and site safety.
* General: Undertakes training on new P/E as required; attends site meetings, engineering reviews as required; supports external, customer, and internal audits to achieve optimum results; supports cost control measures on site.
Requirements:
* Relevant electrical qualifications and previous relevant experience essential; previous experience in a food facility desirable.
