Our client, an established Hospital in Dublin, wishes to recruit a Cardiac Physiologist Basic Grade.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. The Cardiac Physiologist will undertake the duties appropriate to that position.
2. The Cardiology Department carries out a wide range of cardiac investigations that include:
3. ECGs – Recording/Interpretation, and highlighting abnormal findings.
4. 24 hour Holter monitoring – Patient hook up and technical downloading/analysis interpretation.
5. 24 hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring – Patient hook up and analysis of same.
6. Event Recording – Patient hook up and analysis.
7. Exercise Stress test – Patient hook up and interpretation.
Desirable:
1. Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory to include technical support for Angiograms & percutaneous Coronary Intervention and competence during emergency procedures.
2. Tilt-Table testing.
3. Loop recorder, pacemaker & ICD interrogation.
4. Trans-thoracic echocardiography.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Performing the procedure or examination, report and highlight abnormal findings.
2. Calibration and routine maintenance of all equipment, which includes sterilisation where necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Possess the MPPM Certificate and/or MSCST qualification from the Society of Cardiological Technicians or equivalent.
2. Be an associate of the Society of Cardiological Technicians.
Essential Experience:
1. A minimum of 1 year experience working in a similar environment.

3. Demonstrate adaptability to the rapid changes taking place in the Hospital.
4. Excellent organisational and time management skills.

8. Good IT skills.
