Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Athboy for a Quality Assurance Manager at Origin Valley Pet Nutrition. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, conducting audits, and managing the quality assurance team's daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure compliance with all company procedures and current legislation.
2. Liaise with the technical departments of customers and suppliers.
3. Manage and oversee all quality control and quality assurance functions from end-to-end process.
4. Ensure manufacturing and products adhere to up-to-date legislative & regulatory requirements.
5. Maintain Quality Management Systems and HACCP system adhering to company manufacturing standards, food safety & quality system standards.
6. Review and report KPIs to management on a weekly/monthly basis, analyze trends, investigate any KPI failure, and develop & implement corrective actions.
7. Investigate non-conformance, deviations, customer complaints, and ensure corrective/preventive actions are effectively in place.
8. Prepare and organize the site for all audits, ensuring resolution of previous actions through cross-functional teams.
9. Develop and mentor the QA team.
10. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience
1. Minimum 3 years experience as a QC Manager.
2. Quality Control and Quality Assurance management skills.
3. Experience in regulatory compliance and standards adherence.
4. Audit management and process improvement skills.
5. Attention to detail and analytical skills.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
8. Experience with BRC food safety regulations and quality standards.
9. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
