We are currently seeking a Corporate Actuarial Senior Analyst to join a global leading insurance firm. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Actuarial, the Corporate Actuarial Senior Analyst is responsible for conducting actuarial valuations and contributing to various projects. This position is based in Dublin and has a hybrid working policy. The successful candidate will ideally have 2-5 years working in the areas of non-life insurance.
About the Corporate Actuarial Senior Analyst role
The Corporate Actuarial Senior Analyst, reporting to the Head of Corporate Actuarial, is responsible for conducting actuarial valuations and contributing to various projects. This role primarily focuses on ensuring high-quality and timely execution of actuarial oversight in compliance with the established governance framework and Group standards. The position involves leading project initiatives across the Corporate Actuarial global function to enhance actuarial practices within Finance while collaborating with business units and other key stakeholders, such as IT. Additionally, the role includes coordinating large-scale activities and improving procedures and models.
Duties for this role include (but are not limited to):
1. Management of actuarial valuation in compliance with all internal, external and professional standards. Project work to establish and enhance professional framework.
2. Independently contributing to achieving objectives, particularly for global projects and company-wide initiatives, by collaborating cross-functionally.
3. Keeping up to date with new developments in standards. Implementing initiatives within the actuarial function in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Continuously enforcing professional judgment and critical thinking.
Actuarial Skills
The Corporate Actuarial Senior Analyst will ideally have 2-5 years of post-graduate experience. Candidates should have experience in the non-life industry; however, other relevant actuarial experience will also be considered.
Candidates should have experience in the following areas:
1. At least 4 years of experience in an insurance role and progression towards actuarial qualification.
2. Proven ability to manage complex projects.
3. Strong influence and leadership skills in complex environments.
4. Degree in a relevant subject/area.
