People who build and leverage cross-functional relationships to bring together ideas, data and insights to drive continuous improvement in functions.Position Summary:Design and develop solutions for orthopaedic and Trauma applicationsCollaborate with cross functional team to lead technical aspects of projects through the new product development processReview and oversee adjacent project effortsLead technical aspects of program pipelineWhat you will do:Independently design and implement complex concepts and systems including system architectural design, relevant design documentation, test planning and executionSpecialize in various technology domains and evaluates new technologiesSupport designs and the selection of platform technologiesWork independently with surgeon customers in a user setting, clearly communicate design goals and incorporate feedback into designsEnsure compliance with the relevant requirements in cooperation with other engineering disciplines, QA/RA/AO, etc.Maintain and improve engineering methods and practicesDemonstrated ability to influence a broad cross functional audienceDemonstrated ability to make decisions as neededTrain and mentor regarding established engineering best practices, design principles, processes and toolsWork with core team to determine project schedules and time commitments of self and other functional project team members and be able to clearly communicate status of assignments to project management.Perform holistic problem analysisDesign and implement solutions to address identified problemsSupport the implementation of state-of-the-art technologiesWhat you will need:Bachelor's degree in science, prefer Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, prefer Masters Degree in a technical disciplineMinimum of 2 years industry experienceProduct design experience in Orthopaedics in the medical device industry or related Engineering/Manufacturing industry experienceDemonstrated leadership of technical work groupsExperience in the function, clinical issues and performance requirements of Orthopaedic implantsExperience leading complex product development initiatives from concept through releaseExperience in design controls and risk management within a regulated industryExperience with a parametric CAD design package. Prefer ProEDemonstrated understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and its application#IJTravel Percentage: 10%
