Finance Manager- Part Time Our client based in Dublin 2 in the Charity Sector are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Finance Manager to oversee the financial, accounting, and reporting activities of their Irish Region.
This is a pivotal role that offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and financial sustainability of our organization.
Hybrid part-time role- 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the comprehensive financial management, accounting, and reporting activities within the Irish Region.
Financial: Present quarterly Statements of Financial Activities and Balance Sheets to the Trustees.
Develop and manage Provincial and house-level budgets, presenting them to the Trustees for approval.
Prepare mid-year Actual vs. Budget reports for Trustee review.
Coordinate the preparation of standardized annual financial statements for all regional houses.
Organize and manage annual reviews/audits for various regional entities and registered bodies.
Oversee the investment portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact for investment fund managers and providing investment advice to the Trustees.
Ensure the secure storage of all investment-related documentation.
Coordinate the preparation of annual regional accounts for presentation to the Provincial Council and Annual Meeting.
Maintain and enhance financial policies, procedures, and control systems across the region.
Ensure compliance with all Irish legal obligations, particularly in taxation and employment.
Maintain oversight of cash flow and funding/grant reporting.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning initiatives, providing financial sustainability and resource allocation insights.
Implement effective risk management strategies to address financial and operational risks.
Prepare strategic financial reports and analyses for the Trustees.
Mentor and develop accounts staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Charity Regulator: Provide accurate financial data for annual returns and other required filings to the Charity Regulator.
Candiate Requirements: Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with proven financial management experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, Experience within the charity or public sector advantageous Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and work collaboratively.
Salary €70,000 -€80,000 (Pro-Rata)
