International Tax Senior Analyst
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Tax Senior Analyst to join our team in Galway, Ireland. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working available.
About the Role
The International Tax Senior Analyst will be a key support for our HID Global division, providing advice across functions, business areas, and jurisdictions. The role will focus on consultancy and advisory type tasks with a smaller focus on compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing tax advice and support on various business activities and transactions
* Partnering with all business areas across the group, providing tax advisory support for various projects
* Managing and supporting a range of ad hoc tasks, projects, and activities as needed to meet team and business objectives
* Conducting research on international tax issues and legislation changes and communicate expected impacts to the wider business
* Supporting the identification and implementation of projects to ensure compliance with international tax regulations, including BEPS Pillar II and transfer pricing requirements
* Advising HID finance teams on tax compliance activities including VAT filings, corporate tax returns, tax audits, and other related obligations
* Keeping the ERP system current with tax legislation changes and supporting testing to ensure accurate tax functionality in all ERP updates
Requirements
* Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and ability to excel both independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and ability to liaise with other non-tax professionals
* Solid accounting and tax technical skills
* Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
* Ability to read and interpret tax technical documents, legislation, and other international tax guidance
* Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system
* Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
* Chartered Tax Advisor/AITI qualified or Chartered Tax Consultant, with an ACA or ACCA qualification a strong advantage
* Minimum 3-5 years' relevant PQE experience
* Industry experience is desirable but not essential
* Knowledge across multiple areas of taxation preferred
