Job Summary
A key role in ensuring the quality of products manufactured in assigned areas meets established guidelines and expectations. Responsibilities include monitoring production, tracking performance, and collaborating with technicians/operators/engineers/value stream leads to ensure schedules are met and accurate reporting is provided.
Key Duties:
* Responsible for shift performance metrics (KPIs), striving for high utilization, yield, and low cost of quality. Collaborates with planners and value stream leads to prepare, plan, and schedule tasks.
* Leverages group decision-making processes for control and development progressions, while addressing non-conformance actions in a timely manner.
* Leads and supports production teams to achieve manufacturing goals.
* Coordinates training, development, and performance reviews for technicians/operators.
* Ensures safety and security for personnel and equipment within production areas, conducting regular line safety inspections.
* Monitors product quality using statistical process control (SPC) and basic computer tools/programs for analysis and report compilation.
* Makes quality or processing decisions on the production floor, coordinating with relevant engineers as needed.
* Manages high-performing teams, identifying talent and developing succession plans within the West Talent Gateway.
* Celebrates employee growth through coaching and development, implementing retention strategies as required.
* Communicates performance measures to groups/plants, coordinating inter-area communications and production scheduling.
* Promotes efficient use of resources, expediting materials and equipment when necessary.
* Collaborates on product/process automation changes with relevant engineers.
* Maintains 6-S standards in production areas, delegating tasks to technicians/operators after providing adequate training.
* Develops and maintains production methods/procedures, adhering to ISO9001/ISO 13485/ISO 14001 requirements.
* Acts in accordance with company Guiding Principles and corporate Code of Conduct.
* Complies with site Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
