Procurement Analyst
Our client, an expanding healthcare company in Cork, is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven individual to join their team.
The role will focus on day-to-day buying activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement operations, as well as analyzing spend data and delivering actionable insights to support strategic sourcing and supplier management decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and process purchase orders (POs) and monitor the process to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
- Address supplier inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly to ensure smooth operations.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and supplier performance metrics.
- Support supplier negotiations by providing data-backed insights and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain complex Excel models, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros, to streamline procurement processes.
- Utilize Power BI to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into procurement activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret data requirements for procurement projects.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement and supply chain processes.
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting activities related to procurement.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to support strategic sourcing initiatives.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in procurement, data analysis, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
- Proficiency in using Excel at an advanced level, including creating and managing macros, with hands-on experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
