RTR Team Member - Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

We lead in serving a vast array of industries worldwide, including home and personal care, apparel, e-commerce, logistics, food and grocery, pharmaceuticals and automotive.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely processing of all related transactions in the General Accounting team in accordance with the Internal and External Accounting Guidelines for the Shared Service Centre (SSC).
2. Process and analyze financial data related to the General Accounting (GA) system, including:
1. Create and post GL journals as appropriate
2. Month-end US GAAP reporting
3. Preparation of relevant balance sheet account reconciliations
4. Review of P&L for reasonableness and accuracy/cost centre reporting
5. Review bank reconciliations as appropriate
6. Work with large volumes of data and analyze same
7. Manage and generate manual recharges
8. Quarterly and ad hoc Corporate schedules
3. Fully responsible for BS accounts including all reconciliations and monitoring
4. Preparation of Annual Operating Plan and management of budgets throughout the year
5. Manage interaction with Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable departments to ensure resolution of issues
6. Produce local statutory audit files and statutory financial statements for EMEA jurisdictions including robust bridge reconciliations between US GAAP and Local GAAP & maintenance of excellent professional relationship with external statutory auditors
7. Assume responsibility for Intercompany balances and resolution of all intercompany differences in an appropriate and timely manner
8. Ensure all intercompany transactions are supported by agreements
9. Support execution of tax computations in line with ASC740 for US GAAP and local tax return requirements
10. Ensure Internal Audits are completed in line with audit scope and all requirements completed in a timely manner
11. Participate in Sarbanes Oxley requirements across the Shared Service Centre
12. Deliver excellent customer service through a partnership with key business unit finance staff and delivery of high-quality service levels to both the business unit and division
13. Uphold professional internal relationships with various departments within the SSC and with the outsourced Accenture team
14. Participate in key SSC projects & initiatives, including Corporate Balance Sheet reviews
Qualifications:
1. Statutory accounts & audit experience
2. Sarbanes Oxley experience
3. Proven track record in a business partnership
4. High volume reconciliation experience
5. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
6. Excellent knowledge of GA processes and procedures
7. Strong Analytical skills
8. Fully competent in Microsoft Excel
9. Good attendance and timekeeping record
10. Technically competent
11. Fluency in English
12. Previous exposure to a culturally diverse working environment
13. Ability to speak more than one major European language
14. Shared Service Centre exposure
15. Advanced Excel and Macros
Reporting into a RTR Team Leader, this role would suit a motivated person who is looking to develop a Finance career with an ambitious European Shared Service Centre.
