Join TWi as we build our pre-sales and partner sales functions. We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales with experience in the technical communications, learning or translation industries to lead this initiative. This role is ideal for someone with both strategic vision and hands-on sales skills ready to take full ownership of our expanding sales function. As our Head of Sales, you will be responsible for the pre-sales process, collaborate with Marketing on outbound sales campaigns, and own our partner relationships. This role offers the opportunity to initially strengthen the pre-sales and partner functions, and then expand to manage a broader team as we grow.

Primary tasks and responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership:
* Create and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with our business development objectives to support company growth.
* Build and manage the sales team.
* Act as a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Business Development Director and working closely with other functions and business units.
Sales Execution:
* Take overall responsibility for sales and lead the implementation of appropriate processes to drive results.
* Initially manage all aspects of the sales process including, outbound activities, pre-sales lead engagement, and partner management.
* Work with other Business Development functions such as Marketing, Account Management, and Sales Support to drive revenue growth in collaboration with Operations.
Operational and Team Development:
* Transition from hands-on sales tasks to overseeing a team as the sales function grows.
* Establish clear sales KPIs, sales forecasts, and generate regular reports to assess and enhance performance.
* Build a culture of continuous improvement and delivery focused on delivering value to the client and collaboration with internal teams, particularly Operations.
* Attend events & conferences.
* Travel to meet clients, as required and through agreement.
Secondary tasks and responsibilities
Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time-to-time to reflect changes in personnel, organisational structure, and services.
Requirements
* A degree BA/BS or similar in Business Administration or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a technology-focused environment.
* Demonstrated experience in the technical communications, translation, or learning industries.
* Experience in strategic planning with a record of building and leading sales functions.
* Skilled in sales tools and platforms, including Hubspot.
* A curious mindset that drives you to seek automation best practices and embrace AI to drive workflow efficiencies.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
* An entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of exceeding business objectives.
* Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new services and competition status.
* Adaptable, able to adjust to the evolving needs of the business and lead change.
Desirable
* Familiar or experienced in Content Management and/or Component Content Management Systems (cCMS)
* Two years of Project Management experience.
* Understanding or familiar with Digital Strategy.
