Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of PMO to lead Technology Transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership
o Develop and implement a comprehensive PMO strategy aligned with the organisation's technology transformation goals.
o Establish and maintain a robust PMO framework, methodologies, and best practices.
o Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and operational efficiency.
* Project Portfolio Management
o Oversee the entire project portfolio, including prioritisation, resource allocation, and risk management.
o Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
o Conduct regular reviews of project performance and provide timely updates to senior leadership.
* Team Leadership
o Build, develop, and lead a high-performing PMO team.
o Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
o Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the PMO.
* Stakeholder Management
o Effectively communicate with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, project sponsors, and business owners.
o Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and build strong relationships.
* Financial Management
o Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
o Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise resource utilisation.

Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head of PMO or similar role within a large-scale organisation, preferably in technology projects.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2).
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet).
* A deep understanding of technology trends and their impact on the public sector.
* Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
* A relevant degree or certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner).
