We are looking for a Capacity Install Technician to join our Late Binding team. Capacity Install Technicians will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the Installation of our next-generation networks.
The position responsibilities will include scaling support of several data center locations and be responsible for day to day assistance with capacity management. The Capacity Install Technician will work closely with both internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth execution of Late Binding process.
Key job responsibilities
1. Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflow
2. Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
3. Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low to mid-level application interaction
4. Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
5. Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
6. Complete customer requests via Remedy trouble ticketing system
7. Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
8. Ability to travel within geographical work area is required, up to 80% travel outside traditional work area will be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school or equivalent diploma
2. Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
3. Experience in networking
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
2. Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
3. Knowledge of server hardware and components
4. Knowledge of TCP/IP networks
