Job Title: Shift Manager
Location: Macroom Supply Point, Ireland (part of Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition division)
Division Overview:
Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition is a division within the Danone Group, employing 100,000 talents in over 60 countries worldwide.
Macroom Supply Point is a strategic spray drying factory within the division, serving as a major supplier of infant formula to other plants within the network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the shift team to achieve production targets and KPIs.
* Ensure the highest standards of product quality, integrity, and hygiene.
* Maintain excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice.
* Monitor and control costs.
* Ensure safe working practices and conduct among team members, contractors, and visitors.
* Maintain positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levels.
* Regularly inspect and properly maintain work areas and equipment to deliver optimum performance.
* Drive initiatives to maximize employee contribution and improve product quality and process efficiencies.
* Liaise with QA & QC, logistics, technical, and maintenance teams to achieve optimal results.
* Be responsible for Danone Internal Controls as assigned by the Internal Controller.
* Interface with HR regarding employee performance, development, and any employee relations issues.
* Update relevant HR systems as required.
Additional Expectations:
* Cover for the Production Manager when absent and support the Production Manager in other areas of production.
* Contribute to the overall department performance plan in areas such as Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation, and Environment.
* Drive correct usage, maintenance, and development of all production systems.
Requirements:
* 2+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role in the food manufacturing industry.
* Third-level qualification in a related field is desirable.
* SAP/MES/Scada experience is highly desirable.
* A strong understanding of Microsoft Office is required.
* Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
