What is the opportunity?
12 Month FTC Compliance Officer
What will you do?
You will be responsible for:
1. Supporting the Head of Compliance, Ireland with the implementation of regulatory and compliance risk management and controls for the I&TS Ireland businesses, as set by Head of Compliance, I&TS Europe and Asia and consistent with strategic objectives and risk appetite, while promoting a strong culture of ethics, compliance and integrity across the I&TS offices in Ireland.
2. Providing independent oversight of regulatory and compliance risks and controls as they relate to laws, regulations and regulatory expectations which govern the activities of the I&TS offices in Ireland.
3. Supporting the Head of Compliance, Ireland with the implementation and maintenance of an effective, integrated, proactive and risk-based program for the management of regulatory, compliance and reputational risk for the organisation's business platforms in Ireland.
4. Accountable for the quality and consistency of compliance performance under all relevant governing laws, regulations, directives, standards and guidelines in relation to the organisation's businesses.
5. Supporting the Head of Compliance, Ireland with implementing a compliance strategy for the organisation and be responsible for assessing and managing the inherent compliance risk, including being accountable for:
- Instilling with the businesses the central role they play as the First Line of Defense, promote strong compliance culture to ensure that the organisation complies with its regulatory obligations and ethical standards;
- Providing value added advice and guidance to the various businesses within the organisation to embed ownership for Compliance Risk within the business;
- Supporting and enable business objectives by ensuring relevant businesses are equipped to meet regulatory requirements, including by identifying, assessing, tracking, where possible influencing and preparing for new developments and ensuring the implementation of Global Compliance priorities
- Maintaining constructive and strong working relationships with all relevant banking, securities and other regulators that impact I&TS businesses;
- Providing necessary information and effective collaboration with the Compliance Monitoring & Oversight Team supporting an efficient execution of the compliance monitoring programs and oversight activities;
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
6. Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory risk management practices
7. Degree educated or equivalent in analytical subjects such as economics, audit, risk management and legal
8. Strong transformation leadership skills
9. Can lead by example
10. Abides by the Code of Conduct; sets the right leadership tone
11. Works well in a matrix environment.
Nice to have:
12. Understanding of EU and local regulations.
