Job Summary
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical designs for project-based products in a timely manner. This role requires a strong technical foundation in Electrical Engineering and the ability to promote excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse customer requirements to identify electrical needs and distinguish between project-specific and standard requirements.
* Manage electrical requirements, ensure all needs are met, and liaise with customers regarding design details.
* Document crane electrical system interfaces, console layouts, and specifications for electrical equipment, including switchgear.
* Integrate electrical sub-systems and solutions, ensuring overall electrical function is delivered.
* Coordinate with software developers to ensure electrical integration requirements are met and participate in testing.
* Liaise with commissioning engineers to generate test and acceptance documents.
* Specify electrical components, source suppliers, and support procurement.
* Create electrical piece lists and documentation for the production process.
* Liaise with production and installation departments to ensure assembly and testing meet necessary standards.
* Support the service department with new systems and resolve customer complaints.
* Participate in selecting and testing suitable sub-systems and new technologies.
* Prepare technical documentation for assembly, installation, commissioning, and customers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Minimum Level 7 degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering.
* Strong communication and reporting skills (verbal and written).
* Ability to analyse problems and derive solutions.
* Project management skills and willingness to travel internationally.
