We are currently looking for an experienced MAMF Plant Fitter based at our location in Clonard, Co. Meath. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the routine maintenance and servicing of plant equipment and machinery in an efficient and safety-driven manner.
Responsibilities:
1. Routine maintenance and servicing of ready mix concrete fixed plant equipment and ancillary machinery.
2. Development and implementation of a plant-wide preventative maintenance programme.
3. Diagnosing breakdowns, returning plants to service in a timely manner, minimizing downtime.
4. Liaising with external contractors to schedule work on site and ensuring that all such work is fully approved in advance and completed to the required standards.
5. Scheduling periodic testing of safety equipment and maintaining records of same.
6. Component rebuilds and testing, monitoring and recording spare part usage.
7. Demonstrate a lead-by-example approach to all aspects of Health & Safety, being fully compliant with Company Health & Safety policies, procedures, systems, and rules; report all hazards and incidents and ensure that you work safely at all times.
Skills Required:
1. Time Served Trade in a mechanical discipline.
2. Fabrication skills highly advantageous.
3. 1 year minimum within the relevant industry (quarry, sand & gravel, concrete, and crushed stone).
4. Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
5. Practical knowledge of tooling and specialized equipment to conduct repairs on heavy equipment.
6. Practical knowledge of rigging, slinging, and jacking procedures.
7. Strong planning and organizational mindset with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
