Scopely is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Platform) to join our unannounced project in Dublin or Barcelona on a remote or hybrid basis working 3 days a week from the hub. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy/MMO title, creating a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey!What You Will DoBuild and maintain full stack web applications and internal tools, from front-end UI/UX to backend APIs.Develop and optimize features that support live game operations, empowering our designers and operators with real-time control and insights.Work closely with product teams, game designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, plan technical solutions, and ensure successful deployments.Design and implement high-performance, low-latency web services in a cloud environment (AWS preferred) that can handle millions of players.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, implement automated tests, and ensure high standards of code quality and maintainability.Utilize containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code practices to deliver reliable, repeatable, and efficient deployment processes.Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.What We’re Looking ForSeveral years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a strong foundation in programming and web development.Hands-on experience in modern backend languages (Python strongly preferred; Go or C# also a plus) and a willingness to learn new technologies.Solid understanding of RESTful services and modern web frameworks (Vue.js or Angular preferred). Experience with JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, and CSS preprocessors (e.g., SCSS) is essential.Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL/Postgres) and caching solutions (Redis). Capable of writing efficient queries and designing schemas for low-latency environments.Experience with containerized solutions (Docker) in a public cloud environment (AWS preferred). Infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a bonus.Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and load testing for robust production deployments.Committed to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code, with an emphasis on performance and scalability.Comfortable discussing complex technical concepts with non-technical team members and collaborating with diverse teams.At Scopely, we create games for everyone - and want to ensure that the people behind our games reflect that!
