Accounts Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Manager to join our team at Sanderson. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's Client & Office banks, including online banking payments, cheque payments, lodgements, and reconciliations.
* Manage Client & Office banks, including processing online banking payments, cheque payments, lodgements, and reconciliations.
* Maintain petty cash and handle accounts payable by recording supplier invoices, managing supplier payments, and addressing any supplier queries.
* Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing and credit control.
* Maintain client matter ledgers in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Prepare compliance reports in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Process staff expenses and handle payroll, including ROS submissions and reporting.
* Manage VAT & VIES returns, including ROS submissions.
* Record and reconcile Land Registry, Court Franking, and CRO accounts.
* Submit Revenue Commissioners Stamp Duty returns.
* Supervise Accounts Assistant and outsourced bookkeeping support where required.
* Manage the Nominal Ledger, including processing necessary journal entries.
* Prepare ad hoc reports for management.
* Liaise with external financial advisors and auditors.
Requirements:
* Accounting Technician or similar accounting qualification.
* 2-3 years' experience in a legal accounts position.
* Knowledge of Legal Accounting Systems (preferably Keyhouse Case Management & Sam Accounts System).
* Familiarity with online banking processes.
* Knowledge of solicitors accounts regulations.
* A proactive and professional attitude.
* Capable of working on own initiative.
* Ability to deal with staff members at all levels.
