QC Laboratory Assistant We are now recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant within our Quality Control (QC) Department in Ringaskiddy.
The QC department consists of 5 teams (Raw Materials, Intermediates, IPC, API and Stability) based across three laboratories in Ringaskiddy in both OSP1 and OSP4 focused on batch release, AMTE and Validation activities to support manufacture of key Pfizer medicines at the Ringaskiddy site.
The Laboratory Assistant will manage materials/consumables/stock for the laboratory, facilitating the timely processing of purchase orders for the laboratory and work closely with stores and vendors to manage inventory (VMI).
The Laboratory Assistant will also manage documentation for the laboratory ensuring folders are kept up to date and documentation is stored correctly in both on site and off site locations.
Sampling support will be required as part of the role.
The key responsibilities of this role will include: Creation, receipt, labelling and storage of purchase ordersMonitor and maintain stock itemsMaintaining laboratory reagents, solvents and reference standardsManage and optimise vendor managed inventoryTransfer, storage and administration of documentationSamplingSample shipmentAdherence to quality and safety proceduresSupport in the implementation of process improvements in the laboratoryParticipation in lab rotas, audits, safety meetings, housekeeping etc.Effectively use the site business processes (eg Visual Management, Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, using Digital Operating Centre, Six Sigma tools, Lean Tools etc) to support QCThis position requires candidates who are highly motivated and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as possessing problem-solving and decision-making ability.Manage own time, professional development and be accountable for own results.Follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity and timing.Apply skills and knowledge to increase efficiency, throughput and quality.The ideal candidate will have: Good organisational skillsAbility to prioritiseCan work within a changing daily work environmentHave a strong record of teamwork and collaboration with teamsHave excellent communication and problem-solving skillsNice to have: Experience in a GMP QC laboratoryAdditional Information: In order to be considered for this position in Ireland you need to be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
