At Bracken Recruitment, we are working with our South County Dublin client to recruit a number of Community Support Workers to join their organisation.
These are essential key roles providing assistance to clients who have intellectual disabilities with the aim of empowering clients to live to their best potential.
The roles are residential care roles and are on a shift basis of 12 hours; some are day shifts and some are night shifts.
You will generally work 13 shifts each month.
Some of your duties will include:
* The provision of a quality of life and a supportive atmosphere for individuals that always acknowledges and respects the rights, equality, and personal dignity of the individual and promotes their independence.
* Participating as a team member in the provision of support to the client.
* Co-operate and liaise with other relevant staff members on all matters affecting the care and identified needs of the individuals the team is supporting.
* Following and implementing all local policies, company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Assisting clients with their personal care.
* Reporting to the Person in Charge on a regular basis on the effective operation of the Location.
You must have:
Applicants must hold one of the following degree level qualifications or foreign equivalent:
* QQI Level 7 in Applied Social Studies (Disability) – Open Training College continuous learning
* QQI Level 7 in Social Studies
* QQI Level 7 in Social Care
* QQI Level 7 Applied Social Studies – Social Care
* QQI Level 7 in Early Childhood Care & Education
* QQI Level 8 Higher Diploma in Social Care
* In certain circumstances, staff that hold QQI Level 7 Degree qualifications in related areas such as psychology or social work may be considered for application by our client.
* Full clean driver’s license as driving may be part of the role.
Salary will be in line with your experience and ranges from €39-55k; there are also premiums for night shifts, bank holidays, and Sundays when applicable. There is an excellent pension scheme and a generous holiday allowance.
