The Role
Full-time, Permanent role for a Veterinary GP with a surgical bias. Salary is up to €60,000 plus bonus scheme commensurate with experience. January start date. 38.5 hours (5 days) per week which includes 2 weekend days in 28. Shifts are typically 7:30am-4:30pm or 10am-7pm. No OOH.
This is a general practitioner role with a surgical bias. We need a veterinarian who can hit the ground running, can get through an ops board efficiently, as well as bond with clients and offer a good standard of medicine.
What you’ll bring
1. Must be registered as a Veterinary Surgeon with the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
2. Competency in all routine surgery (including dog spays) is a requirement.

Ark Vetcare is a large, well-established veterinary group with three locations across South County Dublin. Our Dun Laoghaire practice is one of the longest established veterinary practices in the country for more than 50 years. While the building may be Victorian, the standard of veterinary care offered is very high to our well-educated and diverse clientele.
Our dynamic team in Dun Laoghaire has a mix of well-experienced vets and new graduates who like to offer the best community pet care available. Our close team consists of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Veterinary Nurses, an animal care assistant, and 5 customer team members. We have a certificate holder in Medicine based from this practice. We have a good client base with a strong focus on patient welfare and high clinical standards. The practice fosters a very supportive and caring environment where a real emphasis is placed on ensuring a great work/life balance for all staff.
