We are currently hiring for a Maintenance Assistant, Full-Time (6 months contract) to join Craddock House Nursing Home in Naas, Co. Kildare.
Job Details:
* Fixed term contract (6 months)

* Rate of Pay €19.00
Duties Include (but are not limited to):
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for all day-to-day facilities services on site, such as building appearance, planned and reactive maintenance, vendor oversight, purchasing of supplies, event support, and space/move management. The objective of the role is to work within the company guidelines and provide the client's internal and external customers with supportive, efficient, and professional services always. The role may predominantly be on one site, but requirements may dictate working across multiple sites in the region.
Key responsibilities:
* Daily inspection of the premises, addressing and reporting any issues identified through maintenance software. Carrying out first line maintenance and assisting special contractors when required.
* To liaise, provide access, risk assess work, and monitor all contractors and tradespersons, highlighting any area of concern to the FM manager.
* Administration of all FM processes such as PO, invoices, service reports, etc.
* Logging utility readings each month on maintenance software.
* Assigning assets to work orders as needed.
* Manage preventative and reactive work orders through the maintenance software before their due date.
* Space management and move coordination for events and functions.
* Assist with new admissions checks ensuring room meets check-in standards.
* PAT Testing (Training provided by company).
* Interior and exterior painting.
* Be recognized as the local facilities ambassador and point of contact for queries. Keep up to date log of events/incidents, repairs, and maintenance.
* Conduct monthly site audits to ensure compliance with company health & safety procedures and current legislation.
* Support and drive projects and initiatives that add value to the client's business.
* Promote a positive environment emphasizing flexibility & understanding with superior customer service.
* Complete other duties as directed by manager.
Experience
Essential:
* A minimum of 2 years as a facilities assistant or maintenance assistant.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Good understanding of building services with ability to work with specialized tasks and suppliers.
Desirable:
* Painting and decorating experience.
* Completed apprenticeship in a construction trade.
Professional Knowledge
Essential:
* Possess effective communication skills.
* Good literacy skills.
* Ability to work independently completing tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner.
