Job Summary: As a High Voltage Technician at Barlo Hyundai, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of electric and hybrid vehicles, particularly those from the Hyundai brand. You will work with cutting-edge technology and high-voltage systems to ensure the safety, performance, and longevity of these vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnostic Assessment: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests and inspections to identify issues with high-voltage systems, batteries, electric drivetrains, and associated components.
2. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and advanced repairs on electric and hybrid vehicles, including battery servicing, charging system checks, and powertrain component replacements.
3. Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines when working on high-voltage systems, ensuring the safety of both the technician and the vehicle.
4. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all service and repair work performed, including diagnostic findings, parts used, and labour hours.
5. Software and Firmware Updates: Stay up-to-date with the latest software and firmware updates for electric and hybrid vehicles, and ensure these updates are correctly installed.
6. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to explain diagnostic findings and repair recommendations, provide cost estimates, and answer any questions or concerns related to their electric or hybrid vehicles.
7. Quality Control: Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards and meets Hyundai quality and safety requirements.
8. Parts Ordering: Identify and order necessary parts and components for electric and hybrid vehicle repairs, and manage inventory effectively.
9. Training and Development: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology through training programs and certifications provided by Hyundai or other relevant organizations.
Requirements:
1. An automotive technology or electric vehicle technician program is preferred.
2. Certifications: Relevant certifications in electric vehicle technology, high-voltage systems, or hybrid systems are a requirement.
3. Experience: Previous experience as an electric vehicle technician or high voltage technician is essential. Hyundai-specific experience is a plus.
4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, in-depth knowledge of electric and hybrid vehicle systems, and a strong understanding of automotive systems and components.
5. Safety Awareness: Demonstrated commitment to safety, with knowledge of high-voltage safety procedures and protocols.
6. Communication: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
