Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Job Description

The position of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is a senior clinical role that reports directly to the Director of Nursing.

* Providing clinical leadership and overseeing day-to-day clinical practices within the home
* Ensuring clinical governance and risk assessments are effectively carried out
* Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
* Minimum 3 years of relevant ADON or acting ADON experience
* Depth knowledge of the ageing process
* Post-registration management qualification
* Qualification in Gerontology and/or Dementia (desirable)
