FM104 – Presenter ‘The Hit Mix’

FM104 is famous for Hit Music but there’s more to Dublin’s favourite hit music station than that. Whether it’s the long running Strawberry Alarm Clock breakfast show that wakes ‘Dubs’ up every morning or Graham and Nathan keeping you company on your drive home.
Your Role: FM104 is recruiting for a Presenter to work on our evening music show, The Hit Mix. We're looking for an experienced, creative and ambitious person to join the FM104 presenting team.
Day to day you will:
1. Present the programme live in the studio while making sure the output is of the highest quality.
2. Generate and develop creative and original ideas.
3. Have excellent editorial decision-making during live shows and posts, which always adheres to the Coimisiún na Meán guidelines.
4. Be comfortable interviewing big-name stars in person and virtually.
5. Archive audio to locate key audio moments for award entries and clients.
6. Be the face of the station for social posts to promote your show or the station.
7. Work with the marketing team to identify areas of opportunity to promote the show.
8. Understand what 15-34s in Dublin are talking about and keep on top of the latest music trends and artists.
9. Undertake other duties as required.
What we are looking for from you:
1. Excellent on-air presenting skills
2. Strong planning, admin and communication skills.
3. You possess the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
4. You have knowledge of defamation law and Coimisiún na Meán Codes of Conduct.
5. You’re a self-starter who can identify and develop items for broadcast.
6. You are technically proficient in using on air playout systems and desks, Adobe Audition and/or other audio editing software, with the ability to use a variety of recording equipment.
7. You stay up to date with the tastes and needs of our target audience.
8. Proven experience in a similar role.
