RETAIL CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Retail Customer Service Assistant in our Waterford store. The candidate is required to be available to work Fridays (9am - 5.30pm), Saturdays (9am - 5.30pm), and Sundays (1pm - 5pm).

Description
The Retail Customer Service Assistant offers outstanding customer service, colour and technical product knowledge while driving sales and helping the team meet and exceed targets. They achieve this by creating the best paint and colour experience possible, generating sales, merchandising products, providing excellent colour, technical and paint product selection advice, and supporting the store management team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver exceptional customer service to every customer at all times.
* Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
* Build valued customer relationships by recognising and responding to customers’ requests.
* Offer and deliver professional product knowledge and advice to every customer.
* Proactively sell the colour consultancy service and provide accurate advice on colour and suitability.
* Use communication, people, and problem-solving skills to ensure each customer receives the advice they require.
* Maintain the store to the highest Colourtrend standard, ensuring the store and all paint and product displays are clean, neat, and tidy at all times.
* Offer colour matching expertise and paint product selection advice.
* Work towards the achievement of Retail Store targets.
* Drive sales by promoting store products and services, using suggestive selling and sharing product and colour knowledge.
* Maintain knowledge through training and awareness of all promotions and marketing initiatives.
* Execute the daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
* Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards.
* Participate in the merchandising of products and help keep the tinting area clean and organised.
* Be aware of and able to respond to safety issues.
* Aid customers in locating products in the store and online.
* Document sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
* Process cash and credit transactions accurately, dealing with customer refunds.
* Alert management of potential security issues.
* Assist with stock management, ensuring deliveries are put away timely and the shop floor is replenished at all times.
* Be prepared to work as part of a team and assist or carry out other duties during periods of high workload, sickness, holidays, and emergencies.
Skills Profile:
* Experience in retail sales.
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
* Strong people skills, with an ability to multi-task and prioritise.
* Willingness to learn about products and colour.
* Able to use own initiative.
* Desire to work as part of a high-performance sales team.
* Knowledge of paint, wallpaper, and fabrics is an advantage.
