About the Role:
This is a flexible hybrid position with 2-3 days at least in our Dublin 15 office.
The Social Media Coordinator role sits within the social media and Content team in the larger Marketing organization at Gen. This role will report to the Social Media Marketing Manager and is primarily focused on supporting the production, scheduling, paid boosting and analysis of social media content to drive brand awareness and engagement on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
This role will work closely with internal stakeholders to manage campaigns and boost organic social content on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and will support reporting and analytic analysis of our social media efforts, ensuring insights are gathered, analyzed, and presented effectively to inform future strategies. This person will also support other Social Media Managers on the team with asset creation as needed.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in social media management and digital marketing, with experience in planning, executing, and analyzing social media content and campaigns. Exceptional communication skills are essential, and you should be comfortable working independently with guidance from your manager and as part of a cross-functional team.
You must have a proactive mindset, be detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. A creative eye for engaging social media content and familiarity with the Meta advertising ecosystem is a bonus.
What you will do in the role:
You will be responsible for supporting the Social Media team with various tasks including the execution of social media campaigns, boosting organic social content, project management, bringing ideas to the team that support social strategy of driving engagement across platforms. You will also work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external agencies to create compelling social content that resonates with our audience and aligns with broader marketing goals.
This role will provide exposure to the entire social media team and process and will be a great opportunity for growth and learning.
Specific job duties include:
1. Assist with end-to-end production of social media content, from ideation to execution, for Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
2. Monitor and report on social media performance, using analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations.
3. Assist with managing posting schedules for social media calendars, ensuring all content is timely, engaging, and in line with brand voice.
4. Assist in boosting organic content, identifying opportunities to enhance engagement, and experimenting with new formats to drive growth.
5. Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in social media, especially within the tech and cybersecurity industry, and recommend opportunities to improve our social media presence.
6. Manage the scheduling of content production, including sourcing of creatives, caption creation, and adjustments based on regional and cultural nuances.
7. Contribute to other marketing initiatives, such as social media analytics, blogs, and channel expansions.
8. Support social media managers with content ideation and development as needed.
9. Other activities as needed.
What you need to be successful in the role:
1. 1+ years of experience in social media management at a company or agency.
2. Familiarity with Meta platforms (Facebook & Instagram), including boosting organic content and managing ad campaigns.
3. Understanding of social media strategies and trends within the tech or cybersecurity space.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with various teams.
7. Creative eye with attention to detail.
8. Familiarity with social media analytics tools and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
9. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
10. Process and timeline driven, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
