Job Purpose
The Global Program Manager is responsible for leading innovation to the market. As the Global Program Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of Project Managers within the PMO department.
You will also lead projects, bringing products from original ideas to successful market launch as well as new processes or services.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
* Lead a team of Project Managers.
* Mentor, coach, and ensure that career development plans are in place for direct reports.
* In the initial stages of the project, define the scope with stakeholders, determine product/service/process key features and capabilities required for its delivery.
* Build a cross-functional team gathering skills and responsibilities needed for the launch.
* Prepare the project with the team, describing the scope, business plan, planning, cost estimate, risk analysis, and quality plan, and obtain the commitment of the team members on its delivery.
* Manage the team and follow up the project, with regular project team meetings.
* Anticipate risks and manage deviations from the plan by implementing contingency plans.
* Build comprehensive Business KPIs.
* Communicate regularly with management teams and project governance on progress and level of risk, and raise alerts when appropriate, preparing alternate options for decision.
* Launch products on time according to commitments of the team.
* Capitalize return of experience with the team after the launch.
